FTAQ has a long term contract to provide pilot training for the QANTAS pilot training academy. We have a modern and well-equipped campus, just outside the rural city of Toowoomba in South Queensland. The current flying fleet comprises of Diamond DA40 and DA42 aircraft
Job overview
FTAQ has an opening for an outstanding Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer - Piston Engine/Airframes (B1.2) who has a genuine love of aviation to join our Wellcamp Engineering Team.
Qualifications and Experience
All applicants are required to have general aviation maintenance experience and be able to demonstrate/provide evidence of the following :
Essential
- Hold a B1.2 CASA Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer or Cert IV Aeroskills (Mechanical)
- CASA license for either/both engine and airframe categories.
- Demonstrated ability to use their initiative to problem solve
- Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision
- Experience with single and multi-engine piston aircraft
- Hold a valid Driver’s License
- Hold a valid Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC) or be able to obtain one
- Must have unrestricted work rights in Australia
Desirable
- Composite Experience an advantage

Location
The location of FTAQ campus from Wellcamp Airport is 3.7 km if walking.
Free parking is available on campus, near workplace, therefore, this role will suit someone who has access to private transport due to limited access of public transport.
Salary range is between $75,000 and $90,000 depending on qualifications.
