Key Responsibilities:

The ECA College Academic Coordinator will perform the following tasks in conjunction and collaboration with other staff and independently where required: 

• Work with Academic Manager, Course Leads and Trainers/Assessors to ensure the effective delivery.

• Provide ongoing academic support to current students (online and in person).

• Observe training sessions, and mange class size/classroom allocation for Melbourne campus. 

• Provide records of student engagement/progression/study plans/complaints and advise progression plans to students.

• Assist with trainer recruitment, induction and observations including initial and ongoing.

• Plan for and participate in student intakes/ orientation/room allocations /trainer allocation.

• Organise course timetables in the system, and prepare intake and completion dates  

• Create and adjust timetables, calendar plans and delivery modes when change is necessary. 

• Support the Training team by modifying and improving course content with the LMS team 

• Assess training materials and organise moderation and validation teams to support the Course Leads.

• Monitor and assess trainer’s academic and industrial currency needs, including trainer matrix and profile.

• Prepare and arrange trainer’s professional development programs and performance management plan.

• Monitor Trainer performance and Student satisfaction through regular surveys and observations. 

• Assist with transfer and approval of the results between systems (Canvas and RTO Manager).

• Organise and record outcomes of internal and external meetings scheduled by the Course Leads and Academic Manager. 

• Ensure adherence to compliance procedures and standards including RTO and CRICOS requirements. 

As the successful candidate you will ideally have: 

• A Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116 or TAE40122).
• A vocational/tertiary qualification at least to the level of qualifications being delivered or assessed. 
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in the similar academic department and position 
• Knowledge of VET Sector and Adult education.
• Ability to contribute effectively as a constructive and proactive member of a team.
• Experience with Canvas & RTO Manager 
• Effective interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills relevant to teaching and consultancy environments.
