The Role
The Town of Port Hedland is looking for qualified Lifeguards tojoin our dynamic Aquatics Team! As Lifeguard you will have theopportuntiy to undertake one or a number of roles across SouthHedland Aquatic Centre and Gratwick Aquatic Centre.
These roles contribute to the effective and efficient operationof the aquatic facilities, which may include:
- Provide safe and effective supervision of the swimming pools and aquatic features
- Deliver a high level of customer service and professionalism
- Provide emergency response and first aid
- Maintain the facility in a safe, clean, hygienic and presentable condition for all customers to enjoy
This is a flexible role, with early morning, midday and weekendshifts are required.

Work Related Requirements
Successful applicants will need to demonstrate the followingexperience, qualifications and skills including:
- Current RLSSWA Pool Lifeguard accreditation
- Current Provide First Aid qualification
- Current CPR certification including use of oxygen and defibrillator
- Current Working with Children Check (or willing to obtain)
- Current National Police Clearance (or willing to obtain)
- Excellent customer service
- Ability to communicate clearly, actively listen to others and respond effectively

Integrity and pre-employment checks will be conducted if therecommended applicant for this position is not a current Townemployee.
