The Role
The Town of Port Hedland is looking for qualified Lifeguards to join our dynamic Acquatics Team! As Lifeguard you will have the opportuntiy to undertake one or a number of roles across South Hedland Aquatic Centre and Gratwick Aquatic Centre.
These roles contribute to the effective and efficient operation of the aquatic facilities and the maintenance of Water Park, which may include:
- Provide safe and effective supervision of the swimming pools and aquatic features
- Deliver a high level of customer service and professionalism
- Provide emergency response and first aid
- Maintain the facility in a safe, clean, hygienic and presentable condition for all customers to enjoy
This is a flexible role, with early morning, midday and weekend shifts are required.

Work Related Requirements
Successful applicants will need to demonstrate the following experience, qualifications and skills including:
- Current RLSSWA Pool Lifeguard accreditation
- Current Provide First Aid qualification
- Current CPR certification including use of oxygen and defibrillator
- Current Working with Children Check (or willing to obtain)
- Current National Police Clearance (or willing to obtain)
- Excellent customer service
- Ability to communicate clearly, actively listen to others and respond effectively
Other Conditions
Integrity and pre-employment checks will be conducted if the recommended applicant for this position is not a current Town employee.
