ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting to the Lifestyle Coordinator, this role is suitable for a motivated Lifestyle Assistant who enjoys developing an inclusive lifestyle program to engage, encourage and motivate residents to live the best life they can. This is a permanent part-time role (12 hours per fortnight) based at Hastings.
The key responsibilities include:
- Assist in coordinating and planning a targeted program matching individual resident needs, to ensure person centred care.
- Identifying opportunities to better match resident preferences with program content.
- Assist in the maintenance of a monthly planner which provides balance and choice to maximise resident involvement
- Adequately and respectfully manage resident complaint/dispute management and resolution
- Liaising with residents and families to gain customer feedback and maintain a continuous improvement approach to service delivery
ABOUT YOU
The successful candidate will demonstrate the following experience, skills and attributes:
- Experience within an Aged Care environment
- Certificate III or IV in Leisure and Health and/or equivalent experience
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively with others.
- Passionate about working with the elderly, keeping activities exciting and delivering with enthusiasm
- Ability to assess the needs of residents and be adaptive in relation to activities and day to day tasks
- Demonstrated proficiency in understanding of the Aged Care Standards and the Accreditation process (preferred)
- An alignment to our iCARE values; integrity, compassion, accountability, respect and excellence
