Brodribb Home is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Lifestyle Assistant to join our dynamic team. As a Lifestyle Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in promoting the physical, emotional, and social well-being of our residents.
Responsibilities:
- Organise and facilitate a variety of recreational activities, events and outings that promote social interaction and community engagement.
- Foster meaningful relationships with residents, families and staff to ensure personalised care and support.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to assess residents' interests, abilities and preferences.
- Maintain documentation and records related to lifestyle programs and resident participation.
Requirements:
- Certificate IV in Leisure and Health or currently studying for a Certificate IV in Leisure and Health.
- Previous experience working in a similar role within aged care preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage with resident, families and staff effectively.
- Creative and innovative mindset with the ability to develop diverse and stimulating lifestyle programs.
- Empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for working with older persons.
