Life Choice are particularly interested in new team members wanting to support people with intellectual/ cognitive & mental health challenges to live their best lives as independently as possible. We are expanding with new homes in Hervey Bay and Maryborough and are looking particularly to recruit great team members to be part of our new SIL support teams. This will be on a 24/7 Roster.

ABOUT THE ROLE
Your days will be filled with excitement and diversity as you play a crucial role in enhancing people's lives, providing them with essential support and assistance. This may include:
- Assisting Participants in improving their independent living skills
- Supporting participants with communication and social skills
- Community engagement, such as attending appointments, grocery shopping or other social or recreational activities of their choice
- Provide guidance and assistance in domestic responsibilities including meal preparation and light household cleaning
- Assisting with administering and accurately recording medication, as required.
- Providing support with personal care, including showering, toileting, dressing and more
- Completing written reports in alignment with Life Choice policies and procedures
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
Essential:
- A positive, can-do attitude
- Ability to work flexibly across a 7-day roster in both Maryborough & Hervey Bay
- Passionate about providing client centred individual support
- Authentic passion for assisting others in reaching their life goals
- Current Qld Driver’s License
Hold or be willing to obtain (essential):
- Current First Aid and CPR certificate
- NDIS Worker Screening Card (Yellow Card)
- Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
- Criminal History Check
Beneficial:
- Prior experience supporting someone with a disability
- Experience working with behaviours and following PBSP’s
- Experience attending to personal cares
- Certificate III (or higher) in Individual Support or equivalent qualification (or working towards)
