This is a permanent position based on an 8/6, 4/3 days only roster FIFO from Perth with some occasional night shifts required during shutdowns. However, we are also happy to consider other flexible working arrangements - just ask!Reporting to the Superintendent Shutdown Execution, you will be responsible for ensuring that shutdown maintenance activities on the plant, equipment and utilities are safely executed against schedules, plans, and specified standards to consistently deliver a high level of service to the Jimblebar site. You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that all crane related shutdown activities are conducted safely and efficiently. This includes providing detailed scoping of planned work and input into shutdown scheduling and working with vendor to ensure resourcing can be achieved. You will also assist with non-shutdown related crane activities on site and also be required to ensure work can be done safely and to the standards detailed in SPR-IHS-SAF-029 WAIO Lifting and Cranage Procedure.Some of your key responsibilities include but not limited to;
- Be point of contact for all shutdown related crane activities and assist with the management of site based crane activities such as may be required.
- Ensure that all shutdown crane activities are planned and scheduled to optimise safety and productivity.
- Ensure timely updates of resource work centre capacity data to enable effective scheduling.
- Ensure timely evaluation and scoping of work requests prior to approval for the work management planning process.
- Participate in the weekly pre-planning, planning and scheduling meetings to ensure alignment and commitment of resources to the work schedule.
- Ensure safe execution of Shutdown maintenance work as per agreed schedule.
- Manage the planning and execution of unplanned crane activities during shutdowns.
- Demonstrate visible safety leadership to promote a culture of zero harm through time in the field and endorsement of the quality of Take 5 and JHA's.
- Ensure a safe system of work is in place for each activity and all direct reports are appropriately aware of SHE systems and processes.
- Manage contractors within the approved Contractor Management Framework to ensure efficient and cost effective use of resources.

- A proven track record of safety management pertaining to Lifting Operations
- Contractor management experience - highly desirable
- Experience with structured work management processes and the development of critical lift plans / studies preferred
- Strong technical experience within maintenance in a mining business
- Strong communication, negotiation, influencing and relationship management skills
