Light Vehicle Mechanic - Immediate Start 7/7 Field Positions

SMW Group has been a proud Central Queensland provider of field servicing, maintenance and emergency repair and rebuild services for more than a decade within the mining, construction and civil industries.  SMW Group currently has a full time permanent position available for a Light Vehicle Mechanics on mine sites throughout the Bowen basin. 

This role will see you maintaining and servicing light spec vehicles, trailers, compressors, welders and other ancillary equipment. 

To be a successful applicant, the minimum requirements are:

• Trade Certificate (Light Vehicle Mechanic)
• Current drivers licence (HR would be advantageous)
• Proven ability with fault finding and diagnostics
• Air Conditioning Licence preferred but not essential

Areas of responsibility:

• Carry out maintenance, fault finding and diagnostics and repairs
• Maintain suitable work practices
• Conduct quality repairs and maintenance in a timely and safe manner
• Liaise with supervisors and schedulers to ensure jobs are completed within allocated time frames
• Proven record and ability to follow all safety polices and procedure

High risk licences and competencies (eg. forklift ticket, EWP) will be highly regarded.
