Address Mars Recruitment are partnering with a global, APRA licensed provider in search of a Line 1 Risk Manager to join the team on a temporary 6-12 -month basis. You will support the Operations team and wider business units in first-line risk and control activities. You will manage the Service Provider Register and contracts in line with policies and procedures, reporting on Key Risk Indicators and assisting with control testing results. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in Issue and Incident management, ensuring timely escalation and resolution.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage Service Provider Management arrangements, including the Service Provider Register and contracts management.
Assist with delivery of business-owned RCSAs and provide relevant reporting.
Support the rollout of the new integrated Governance, Risk & Compliance system.
Assist with 1st line controls testing and monitoring, working closely with 2nd line.
Work with Risk owners and the 2nd Line to manage risks back into appetite.
Assist in embedding the Risk Management Framework across the organisation.
Suggest policy/procedure enhancements for continual improvement.
Assist with implementation and training on risk and compliance policy and procedures.
Key Requirements:
Minimum 5 years' experience in risk management, preferably banking and financial services.
Strong risk management background with knowledge of APRA prudential standards.
Direct Line 1 Risk experience.
Ability to deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
Strong stakeholder relationship skills.
Commercial mindset with a curiosity for understanding business operations.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
Tertiary qualification required.
