We’re looking for Electrical Fitter Mechanics, Linespersons or Live Line Linespersons to join our travelling team team located in Toowoomba.

Remuneration:
- From $97,006to $109,800 per annum + 12.75% superannuation
The level of payment will be subject to an assessment of the applicant’s knowledge, skill and competencies required for the position.

As an Electrical Fitter Mechanic, you will:
- Be trade qualified with a Queensland Electrical Fitter Mechanic licence.
- Install, repair, commission and maintain various items of electrical equipment and plant.
As a Linesperson and/or Live Line Linesperson, you will:
- Be trade qualified with a Queensland Electrical Licensing Board Certificate of Competency as an Electrical Linesperson, or
- Be trade qualified with a Queensland Live Line authorisation.
- Construct, maintain and repair overhead, high, and low voltage electrical distribution and sub-transmission systems, street lighting mains and customer service lines.
- Perform Live Line methodology on Energy Queensland (Ergon Energy and Energex) networks.
About you:
You must be prepared to work away from home as regular travel throughout Western and Central Queensland is required.
Appointment will be on a 9-day fortnight; however, you will be required to work alternative rosters and a reasonable amount of overtime as required.
Critical to your success in the role, is your:
- Demonstrated knowledge of an electricity distribution/transmission system, including construction and maintenance of the electrical network.
- Working knowledge of Electricity Act & Regulations, Workplace Health & Safety Act and Regulations, and other relevant statutory acts & regulations.
- Availability for call out and emergency work.
- Willingness to travel to surrounding areas from time to time to undertake work.
- Current ‘C’ class open Drives Licence.
