Lineworker - Metering & Servicing

About the role

We are seeking applications from qualified and experienced Lineworker’s to join our team based in Port Melbourne.

This permanent role will be responsible for completing Metering and Servicing work. Specifically, work will involve new connections, installation of new services (overhead or underground) and the replacement of existing services and meters within Metropolitan Melbourne.

Key duties/Responsibilities 

• Perform all works associated with our electrical Linework metering and servicing contract within budget, and in a timely and safe manner.
• Ensure all equipment including vehicles, plant and materials are kept clean and well maintained.
• Provide timely reporting as required on work progress, quality standards and work practices.
• Receive and complete work using an iPad.
• Be innovative towards and actively participate in improving construction methods.
• Ensure the highest standards of Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality performance are achieved.
• Maintain good customer relations.

 Skills/Experience

• Certificate III in ESI – Power Systems - Distribution Overhead or Australian equivalent.
• Construction Industry White Card.
• High Risk Licences (Elevating Work Platform, Dogging and Rigging).
• Victorian Lineworker Registration (Orange Card)
• A current MR or HR Drivers Licence.
• Current VESI Skills passport with up to date training is advantageous.

Pre-Employment Requirements 

• Attend pre-employment medical including a drug and alcohol test.
