Role Description/Criteria
St Patrick's Primary School is a vibrant and dynamic Catholic school, 20 minutes from Melbourne's northern suburbs. It sits alongside Assumption College, our sister Marist school, and we work very closely with their staff and students alike.
We are looking for and applicants with primary school experience that have an understanding of how data, research and feedback supports student learning.
We are looking for faith filled applicants to work as part of a collaborative, high-performing team, who are suitably qualified and experienced within a primary school environment for a Literacy Leader role that also have an understanding of how to lead and enhance all aspects of literacy.
This is an ongoing classroom teacher role with a one-year Position of Leadership Literacy role, with a POL2 attached.
Applicants should be able to demonstrate:
- current experience in a literacy role in a primary school setting;
- supporting literacy programs such as the Science of Reading;
- a thorough understanding of child safe standards;
- implementation of consistent behaviour management processes throughout the school;
- embedding social and emotional learning and related programs into the curriculum.

- current VIT registration;
- confidence in using ICT;
- knowledge of Victorian Curriculum;
- accreditation to teach RE (desirable);
- a commitment to engaging students and improving outcomes.
