Form of workWe are seeking an Honest and Reliable Practice Nurse (Registered Nurse DIV 1) to add to our wonderful team of staff.
Day Range and Shift Details
- Monday to Friday
- 8 Hours per day
- No Public Holiday shifts
- Ability to cover sick and annual leave if required
Essential Criteria
- Current AHPRA Registration (Must Have)
- Current CPR and First Aid Certificates
- Previous experience working in General Practice
- Previous experience with Chronic Disease Management Plans
- Current Immunisation Certificates
- A positive Attitude
- Strong attention to detail
- Working with Children's Check
- Possess superior professional, organisation and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
- Honest and Reliable
- Well-developed verbal and written communication skills
The Roll
Tasks will include but are not limited to:
- Health Assessments
- Care Plans
- Immunisations of adults and children
- Wound Care
- Managing recalls and reviews
- Triage Management
- Maintaining Treatment Room
- Stock maintenance and ordering
- Vaccine cold chain management
- Infection Control
- Sterilisation of instruments
- Triage, emergency care and assisting doctors with procedures
- Assisting receptionists as needed
Required Knowledge and Experience
The successful applicant will have:
- Experience with Best Practice Software
- Experience in General Practice
- Experience with Health Assessments and Care Plans
- The ability to perform all general practice nurse duties, such as Immunisations, procedure assistance, wound dressings, stock ordering, results and recalls etc.
- Demonstrated ability to provide quality patient care to all patients from a range of age, backgrounds and demographics
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously with the skills to prioritize workloads and meet deadlines
- Ability to manage within a workplace setting with fluctuating levels of demand
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to respond to patients' needs in a friendly manner
- A team focus and flexible approach to work
- The ability to manage reminder and recall systems
