Form of workHere at Mort & Co, our journey to produce the best quality Australian beef is assisted by our team of livestock professionals who look after all cattle on site.
Based at Grassdale Feedlot, the livestock Health Team are responsible for the following duties on site:
- Daily livestock handling including pen riding and stock movements to be completed in a consistent and thorough manner whilst using appropriate animal welfare and cattle handling techniques.
- Diagnosis of animal health symptoms and administration of animal health treatments on site.
- Following animal welfare, quality, and safety standards as well as operating procedures and work instructions.
- Maintain accurate records of animal treatments / stock movements on site.
About you:
You will be focused on working safely in an environment that drives continuous improvement and excellence. Previous feedlot livestock experience will be an advantage but not necessary for the position. Great communicating skills, a strong work ethic and the ability to work well in a team based environment is necessary.
