About the Role
WorkPac are seeking a motivated and skilled Plant Operator/Sorter to join our clientâs dynamic team. This position offers a temporary to permanent opportunity for the right candidate. The role involves a range of duties from operating heavy machinery to sorting materials, ensuring the effective processing of green waste. You will be part of a team committed to maintaining high standards of service and environmental responsibility.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Operate material handler and front end loader efficiently and safely.
Load trucks and grind green waste, ensuring materials are processed correctly.
Rotate through the picking station to sort materials as needed.
Maintain a professional image and deliver high-quality customer service at all times.
Excavate, load, and transport soil, gravel, and other materials to compact and/or cover waste according to company and regulatory standards.
Operate vehicles and equipment according to training, instructions, operating procedures, and company regulations.
Skills & Experience Required:
Loader ticket (must have)
Experience in the waste industry (desirable)
Strong work ethic with a commitment to reliability and punctuality
Commitment to safety and adherence to safety protocols
Self-motivated with a strong mechanical aptitude
Ability to maintain a professional demeanor and provide excellent customer service
