Essential:
Current Clas C Drivers Licence
Demonstrated experience and or VOC competency in Loader operations with considerable civil construction
industry experience
Demonstrated ability to apply WHS and EEO principles
Basic Written and Verbal communication skills including use of mobile devices and technology
Numeracy skills including measuring, estimating and calculating material quantities and weights
Customer service focused
Experience in general labouring
Manual handling skills
Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team
WHS General Induction for Construction Work Certificate (white card)
Desirable:
MR or HR Drivers licence.
Traffic Control qualifications
VOC or Certificate equivalent to any of LL, LB, LE, LS Workcover licence (Loader / Backhoe / Excavator / Skid steer)
Ability to operate a range of plant and equipment associated with road construction maintenance work
To meet Council’s WHS requirements and in accordance with Council’s Covid-19 Safety Plans, this position has been identified via risk assessment to be required to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 or provide evidence of an approved medical contraindication. If a medical contraindication certificate is provided, it will be assessed against a risk assessment and the decision of whether Council accepts the medical contraindication certificate, will be based on operational needs.
