About the Role:
Reporting to the Supervisor - Montrose Yard, the position of Yard Operator We are recruiting a Yard Operator to work at our Montrose site, with a position available in our Bark & Mulch Department. The Yard Operator is a multi-skilled role that is responsible for operating plant, equipment and vehicles contributing to the day-to-day functionality and operational requirements of the yard.
This is a full-time, ongoing position, with an immediate start available. This position is rostered for our day shift which is Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 5:00pm, with Saturday work also available. Candidates must be willing to work additional hours to meet the operational requirements of the business where needed.
Duties will likely include (but not be limited to):
- Operating front-end loaders, excavators, forklifts and other equipment
- Maintaining plant and equipment to a high standard
- Completing pre-starts
- Raising notification and report equipment defects
- Adhering to all safety policies and procedures on site
- Ability to follow instructions given and carry out the work to a high standard
- Operating other machines you are licensed for as required.

- Be committed to up skilling themselves and participate in training provided
- Proficient loading equipment and multi-tasking
- Proficient loading truck safely and efficiently
Requirements:
- Nationally accredited Front-end loader and/or excavator license/ticket
- Forklift ticket (desirable)
- Australian Driver's License
- Minimum of 2-years experience operating a front-end loader (preferred)
- Right to Work in Australia
- Team player who can work well with others
- Police check and pre-employment medical including drug screening (to be completed during the recruitment process).
