This position is instrumental in shaping the service we provide to jobseekers and those undertaking training opportunities. We're seeking a motivated and passionate individual who would like the unique opportunity to continue building our Area Connect service in the North.
About the Role
We're looking for someone who is a strong communicator / relationship builder who can engage with the right people (Jobs Hubs, employment providers, training organisations, business owners) to raise awareness, create engagement and increase utilisation of the Area Connect service we offer.
Using your initiative will be critical to seek out new and exciting opportunities to support job seekers/trainees in your local community. This role would ideally suit an extremely driven individual and the sky is the limit in this highly autonomous role.
The position is a full-time position and located in the Launceston area. The position is classified at Level 2.2 of the Social Community Home Care and Disability Services Award 2020 (SCHADS) with the benefit of salary sacrifice options.
Key responsibilities include:
- Build essential relationships with key stakeholders within the local community area and liaise with the local jobs hubs, employment agencies, employers and training institutions to promote Area Connect services
- Be part of and work collaboratively with the Area Connect Management team to ensure an optimal service to jobseekers and community partners
- Arrange and maintain transport bookings and operate Area Connect vehicles safely
- Provide support and coverage to the Area Connect Drivers within the Northern area
About You
We're looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to deliver our Area Connect service. The successful candidate will possess the following:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage with all stakeholders
- Be flexible, approachable and committed to high-end service delivery
- A team player, with computer literacy and high levels of organisation
All Area Connect employees must:
- hold a current driver’s licence
- hold a Public Passenger Vehicle (PPV) Ancillary Certificate (or be willing to obtain)
- have a Working with Vulnerable Persons Card (or be willing to obtain)
- have a current National Police Check (or be willing to obtain)
