Not your average DMS position - an exciting opportunity to work with the Department of Health in the NT to oversee and assist with the day to day running of the Centre of National Resilience.
Reporting to the Executive Director of Quarantine, you’ll be managing the delivery of safe multidisciplinary health care in a quarantine context at the Centre for National Resilience (CNR).

The quarantine facility provides accommodation, health, wellness and medical support to quarantined individuals. All international (repatriation), other international arrivals and individuals from areas of outbreak within Australia arriving in the Northern Territory are required under the Chief Health Officer Direction to undertake mandatory supervised quarantine at the CNR.
The primary function of the CNR is to ensure the safe repatriation of Australians whilst providing best practice management of infection control and prevention preventing COVID-19 transmission to the community, and they are also currently assisting with the NT remote outbreak of COVID-19.
Key duties and responsibilities
➞ Providing senior leadership and management Of Medical Services on-site and after-hours.
➞ Manage and coordinate clinical governance including standard operating procedures, safety and quality across the quarantine site
➞ Develop and deliver education for quarantine workers in the hierarchy of controls for the prevention of COVID-19 transmission
➞ You’ll be providing clinical leadership of the CNR to deliver a safe environment for staff including testing and vaccination regimes
➞ Deliver a sustainable primary-care-focused medical service for quarantined individuals presenting with COVID-19 and/or non-COVID-19 related health concerns
➞ Develop standard pathways and establish sustainable relationships with specialist services in the acute care system to support residents on-site and minimise transfer into the acute care system
➞ Liaise with the CDC and the Office of the Chief Health Officer to ensure end-to-end systems and communication, particularly for the management of COVID-19 positive residents and their close contacts
➞ Follow defined service quality standards, work health and safety policies and procedures relating to the work being undertaken in order to ensure high quality, safe services and workplaces
➞ Deliver a positive workplace culture through exemplary leadership practices and role modelling behaviour
