Join our Signalling Reliability Engineering team, this is a permanent full time role.
A typical day may include a mix of:
- Performing assignments in the office or the field in Signal Engineering work.
- Investigate signalling system anomalies, use of diagnostic systems, system logs and circuits.
- Conduct validation checking of safety critical signalling designs under guidance.
- Carry out testing and commissioning of signalling installation works.
- Collaborate and support technical and field based teams on project deliverables.
The main focus for this role will be on technical support of our existing rail signalling systems across our rail network.
Whilst ETCS is on our horizon, this role won't be at this stage supporting ETCS nor be responsible for telecommunications/networking systems.

Position Description
Other important information:
- Office is located within the inner Brisbane CBD suburb of Bowen Hills.
- Our standard working hours are 38 hour per work week Monday to Friday, however there may be requirement for some pre-planned/ad-hoc weekend work or outside hours work to support commissioning works. Compensation for approved outside hours work will apply.
Candidates at the time of application will be able to demonstrate that they currently hold the below professional qualifications and meet the employment eligibility requirements:
- Professional Bachelor of Engineering Electrical/Electronic qualification which is recognised under the Washington Accord or demonstrated by ‘an entry to practice competently’ having been awarded to you by Engineers Australia and accepted by Queensland Rail.
Due to the timeline of the requirements for this role, we will only be able to accept candidates with unrestricted eligibility to the be employed within Australia.
