SalaryA locum consultant paediatrician is sought for a rural medical campus in the Australian Outback of the state of Western Australia. This position is open to applicants who hold FRACP or equivalent qualification and AHPRA registration.
The hospital has over 120 beds and provides 24/7 emergency services, general medicine, surgery, obstetrics, gynaecology and paediatric services supported by radiology and anaesthetic support.
Role Duties:
In this position you will be expected to:
- assess and manage patients referred to the paediatric department from the emergency department or general practitioner
- conduct daily ward rounds
- take out patient clinics
- supervise house officers and registrars
- participate in an on call rota
To be successful in your application for this Locum Paediatrician role, we will be looking to identify the following in your curriculum vitae and recent history:
- a medical degree
- FRACP or equivalent qualification
- AHPRA registration (specialist)
- the right to work in Australia
- a daily rate of 3045 Australian dollars per day
- Flights – Up to $1500 return economy flights – approval in advance
- Car – Fuel on receipt ONLY
- Taxi Vouchers provided to and from hospital and Airport
- Hotel accommodation is provided by site if on-site accommodation is not available.
- Hire car is provided by site if fleet vehicle is not available.
