The Organisation

This Emergency Department offers a dynamic and diverse case mix. The ED sees everything from urgent medical conditions and trauma to paediatric emergencies and mental health presentations. 

The Job

Role : PGY5+ with previous ED experience, at least 6 months.
Advanced life support, Paediatric life support skills essential. Will be In-Charge over night shift with a junior doctor, responsible for management of ED patients and MET calls on the ward. Able to prioritise, know own limitations and ask for help where appropriate (AMO on call, Anaesthetist on call, Paediatrician and Obstetrician are on-call, NETS, retrieval). Able to communicate severity over phone. Able to supervise junior doctor.

Hours : 2215 - 0815
Rate : From $200 - $350 per hour depending on shift
Provisions : Accommodation and travel allowance provided

How to get there : Driving from Sydney takes about an hour and a half, depending on the traffic.
