Our Production Department in Kingston, Tasmania, seeks a dedicated and detail-oriented Logistics Administrator to join our team. As Logistics Administrator, you will play a crucial role in supporting our production and shipping processes. This is a permanent position, and the ideal candidate should have excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, enjoy working in a small team, be enthusiastic, flexible, self-motivated and show attention to detail.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Inventory management: Stock counting, monitoring and replenishment.
- Opening of jobs: Receiving purchase orders, liaising with the production team to decide on deadlines, opening of jobs and customer order confirmations.
- Shipping: Work closely with the production team to ensure accurate shipping documentation, efficient dispatch of finished products (both in Australia as well as Internationally), and timely resolution of any shipping-related aspects.
- Third-party orders and tracking: Create purchase orders for required third-party materials or components, tracking order status and delivery receipts.
- Quality control checks: Conducting visual inspections of hardware components and finished products for defects, reporting any discrepancies.
- Material receiving and inspection: Verifying deliveries against purchase orders, checking condition and quality of received materials and adding to inventory.
- Collaborating: Being a helping hand to the production team to meet production goals and deadlines.
- Basic knowledge of inventory management systems or principles.
