World Wire Cables (WW Cables) is seeking a Supply Chain Assistant to join our head office in Victoria. This role will directly partner with colleagues in Shanghai and assist the International Trade Coordinator with all parts of the supply chain (including supplier liaison, inventory control, logistics, engineering etc.), as well as communicating with our state-based operational and sales teams to confirm end-to-end updates on containers, shipments and products.
The successful candidate will possess strong stakeholder management, communication, and organisational skills and will be fluent in Chinese (both written and verbal). An understanding of cross-border transportation will be beneficial but is not a requirement as an in-depth training and induction program will be provided.
Key responsibilities:
• Assist the International Trade Coordinator with inventory/accessory order management.
• Process and cross-check freight invoices and local delivery invoices.
• Create and manage vendors in SAP system.
• Generate Goods Receipt POs in SAP system.
• Monitor deliveries and receipt of stock in a timely manner.
• Liaise with suppliers to expedite orders.
• Liaise with Accounts Payable to assist in resolving supply variances in invoice amount.
• Assist supply chain in stock reconciliations.
• Ad hoc tasks
Skills and experience
We are looking for someone who has:
• Fluent (verbal and written) skills in Chinese and English.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Impeccable attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
• Proactive “can-do attitude“, and willingness to go the extra mile.
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience using SAP – desirable
