Account Manager, Animal Nutrition ANZ

Job Description

Key Information
Do you have an Agricultural/Animal Nutrition background ? We are looking for someone to take on the responsibility of overall sales and coordination for our portfolio of Amino Acid and Nutrition products in ANZ, (excluding Speciality Feed Ingredients SFI).  You will need to manage our existing Animal Nutrition customers but also grow our customer base and our Amino Acid and Nutritional Ingredients business. Location (Sydney, Adelaide, Melbourne) is negotiable with the right applicant.  Further key duties of the role are as following but not limited to

  • Responsible for the sales, service and new business development of the ADM Animal Nutrition portfolio (excluding SFI) to the existing and new customers/industries in the Australian & New Zealand (ANZ) markets, in line with the strategic sales plan and its objectives.
  • Responsible for maintaining existing Animal Nutrition and some Aqua culture accounts and work closely with our customer service and supply chain teams to meet and exceed the expectations of our customers.
  • Identify key business opportunities and detail action plans for increasing sales for current amino acids and other Nutrition ingredients (Protein, Lecithin, Vitamin E etc).
  • Responsible as the main Sales interface to existing and new customers and includes the following
  • Understanding and acting on customer demands in a timely manner,
  • Coordinating activities and discussions between customers’ nutritionists, R&D, purchasing, and other teams and our specific specialists.
  • Overseeing the ordering, transportation and delivery of products as required as managed by our customer service and logistics team.
  • Coordinating (as required) customer demand forecasts as accurately as possible for the various product lines
  • Preparation of account plans and call reports as required
  • Professionally represent ADM at meetings, exhibitions, seminars and other events as required by Management, and manage ADM`s image and reputation in the Animal Nutrition industry


Your Profile

You have a proven track in working with Agricultural and animal food supply chain.  You have sound experience in developing and maintaining internal and external customers.  You are a team player, energetic, motivated and solution focused.  You will also bring the following to the position but not limited to;   

  • Bachelor degree in Agriculture/Animal Science or similar degree
  • A minimum of 3-5 years experience in a similar position or focus area
  • Strong business relationships with current Key players in the industry
  • Sound understanding of sustainability challenges in food and agricultural industries
  • Knowledge of the different business drivers;
  • Solid analytical and organisation skills
  • Great communication and ability to build a rapport with stakeholders (internal and external);
  • Ability to see the big picture and drive the success of the site into the future;
