Long Distance Driver - Heavy Haulage Projects

A little about the role:

We have an exciting new opportunity for an experienced Long Distance Driver Driver who is mechanically minded & has previous experience carting over-sized and general freight to join our Projects Team. Project Drivers work alongside the Heavy Haulage Team and are responsible for the safe transportation of over-dimensional & over-weight items, machinery, project cargo and general freight loads. The successful candidate needs to be comfortable with working away from home for extended periods of time and MUST have proven experience operating triple road trains and over-sized loads.

Do you tick the boxes?

• Hold a current MC licence with 5+ years triple experience 
• Previous experience with over-dimensional, general and ugly freight
• Mechanically minded
• Ability to work autonomously (on a 12:2 or 11:3 roster ideally, however flexible on this for the right candidate)
• Experience loading & unloading 
• Current High Risk Forklift Ticket desirable but not essential
• A sound knowledge of road transport legislation including fatigue management, permit requirements and operating conditions
• MSIC card highly regarded however not essential 
• Detailed understanding of heavy vehicle road networks and remote locations
• Clear understanding of load restraints
