As part of its airport ground services, Swissport manages over 60 lounges at more than 30 airports worldwide under its hospitality brand, Aspire Lounges. These lounges welcome guests regardless of airline or class of travel and offer amenities designed to ensure a rewarding stay.
We are looking for a talented, driven leader with a strong focus on customer experience and a passion for delivering exceptional results to manage our lounge operations at The House Lounge by Aspire at Perth Airport.
Position Summary:
The Lounge Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the entire operation of The House by Aspire at Perth Airport.
In this role, you will ensure that all services and products are delivered to standard, efficiently, and economically, while taking care of our travel partners and airline customers.
With full accountability for the P&L, the Lounge Manager will achieve commercial success by maximizing revenue through cost control, innovative measures, and the expansion of the lounge space upstairs.
Main Accountabilities & Responsibilities:
- Oversees daily lounge operations with a focus on delivering an exceptional guest experience.
- Directly supervises, manages, and supports all team members.
- Collaborates with suppliers and contractors to maintain lounge standards.
- Frequently interacts with guests, addressing issues and complaints to ensure high guest satisfaction.
- Assesses current and future staffing needs to ensure a sufficient number of skilled team members are available for optimal guest service.
- Works with HR to manage individual performance, providing ongoing feedback and coaching to develop team members for future roles.
- Completes all financial, personnel, rostering, payroll, and administrative tasks accurately and promptly.
- Possesses knowledge of business resilience, change management, and innovation strategies.
- Applies effective leadership principles and consistently promotes a positive Aspire culture.
- Builds and sustains strong relationships with suppliers, partners, and airport administration.
- Identifies opportunities to drive sales, increase traffic, and encourage return visits while managing profit and loss reports.
- Ensures a safe, clean, and discrimination-free environment for all team members and guests by adhering to legal and company standards.
Experience & Competencies:
- Must successfully pass relevant and necessary background checks.
- Requires a minimum of 5 years of advancing management experience in airline, lounge, restaurant, hotel, or retail industries.
- Demonstrates strong business acumen and proficiency in managing P&L, budgets, and financial analysis.
- Capable of performing all tasks associated with hourly positions.
- Familiarity with Safety and Food Hygiene regulations, as well as Liquor Licensing compliance.
