The Role
As the Visual Merchandising Manager you will lead the roll out of an epic Visual Merchandising plan across our growing retail store network. You will partner closely with the retail teams, regional stakeholders and HQ departments to ensure the brand vision and campaigns are executed. This role ensures that we visually show up powerfully in each store whilst keeping our community front of mind.

Visual Merchandising Responsibilities: 

  • Deliver the national strategy for Visual Merchandise (VM), including in-store execution of marketing and special events
  • Aligning with the product, design and merchandising teams, responsible for creating in-store presentation guidelines and strategy from category placement to in-store signage hierarchy
  • Responsible for all in-store signage merchandising 
  • Develop VM plans in conjunction with the merchandising team to ensure plans are aligned to brand campaigns, merch plans and local events 
  • Regularly communicate with key stakeholders in-store to build collaboration and engagement
  • Lead by example, engage, coach, empower your team of Head Coaches and regional stakeholders 
  • Manage the retail activations strategy on all key moments in-store - i.e. store events, community events, brand moments and big moment call outs (fabric launches etc.) 
  • Manage the visual presentation for all new store openings 
  • Attend all new store openings to manage the Visual Merchandising strategy 
  • Manage visual presentations in each store through coaching Head Coaches 
  • Responsible for monitoring and improving visual standard across all stores, ensuring styling guidelines and the merchandising strategy is upheld in all stores
  • Manages VM budgets and spend across department 
  • Manage strong execution of creative campaigns through in-store displays and product presentation
  • Develop training initiatives to develop VM skills at regional and store level
  • Working with the Merchandising Team to create monthly window inspiration and outfits 
  • Ensuring weekly VM plans go out complete and on time 
  • Overseeing the installation of instore VM concepts
  • Working in conjunction with the Regional and Store Teams, identifying and actioning VM opportunities to optimise sales
  • Provide feedback and support store staff in a professional and personable way

Collaboration and Teamwork:

  • Encourage collaboration within the team, lean on individuals experience - there's a better way, find it!
  • Support ongoing learning of all store crew consistently and equitably by providing direct feedback to support their growth and development
  • Act as the glue connecting the Visual Merchandising Strategy with the wider teams at HQ and stores 
  • Foster a culture of teamwork and unity

Reporting and Analytics:

  • Track and analyze the performance of Visual Merchandising plans and Initiatives
  • Utilize insights to optimise future strategies and improve Visual Merchandising strategy

Ideal Experience

  • 5 years' experience in merchandising, visual display, styling in a multi-site capacity
  • Solid background within Visual Merchandise and implementation of creative direction, ideally within retail environment
  • Have experience  with local vendor sources for display supplies, hardware, props, furniture, flowers
  • Have solid knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, MS Excel, Word, Powerpoint etc.) as well as Visual Merchandising tools 
  • Have experience with window execution
  • Be strongly practiced in the above Key Responsibilities of this role, and be able to provide folio documentation and supporting material to validate your experience
