About the role

As a result of ongoing growth and internal promotions, the Northeast Auto Group has a fantastic and rare opportunity for an experienced, passionate and motivated Workshop Controller at Adelaide Isuzu in Hampstead Gardens (work at the Northeast Isuzu Workshop in Burton may also be required) 

As Vehicle Workshop Controller you’ll have the opportunity to get off the workshop floor and lead our team of Technicians. You will utilise your communication and time management skills to drive a culture of accountability and high performance, while ensuring we are delivering the best service and product to our customers.

Day to day you will: 

• Coordinate the day to running of the workshop working closely with the front line team and the workshop foreman
• Run workshop toolbox meeting
• Oversee safety standards and ensure workshop housekeeping is maintained
• Organise Training for Technicians 
• Quality control and sign off 
• Organise and order parts as required for each job 
• Communicate verbally and through dealer management tools we use on progress on each job in the workshop 
• Occasionally speak to customer direct about their vehicle and its progress 

About you 

You are a qualified Technician with a high level of mechanical aptitude and excellent interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills. Your passion, experience and knowledge of the industry will set you up to provide quality guidance and support to the workshop team. 

You’ll bring: 

• Strong interpersonal, communication and organisational skills 
• Sound computer skills 
• Demonstrated leadership qualities 
• The ability to mentor others and work in a team environment with others at all levels of the organization
• A friendly and positive approach to work and customers
• A car licence, HR licence would be desirable 
• Forklift licence would also be desirable
