About the role
As a result of ongoing growth and internal promotions, the Northeast Auto Group has a fantastic and rare opportunity for an experienced, passionate and motivated Light VehicleQuality Controller in our Isuzu Ute Workshop.
This is an opportunity to not only work with one of Australia's top setting ute and SUV brands, but to also experience the state-of-the-art workshop and facilities on offer at Northeast Auto Group’s largest operating site, North East Isuzu at Waterloo Corner.
You will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and safety of a range of Light Vehicles, and be responsible for the quality of the work coming out of our workshop. You will inspect, test, and certify all vehicles, ensuring they meet or exceed our high standards, and provide the final sign off prior to any vehicle leaving the shop.
Day to day you will:
- Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify defects, non-compliance, and safety issues
- Perform functional tests to ensure all vehicle components are operating correctly
- Document and report any identified issues, creating detailed quality control reports
- Collaborate with the production team to address and resolve quality issues
- Provide guidance and training to staff on quality control processes
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry regulations and standards
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of quality control processes and procedures
- Help maintain a clean and organized work environment in the quality control area
About you:
You are someone who enjoys a challenge and working in a fast paced, team environment. You bring a focus on efficiency, safety, and quality. You understand how your attention to detail and dedication to excellence contributes to our commitment to deliver reliable and safe vehicles back to our customers.
You have excellent interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills. Your passion, experience and knowledge of the heavy vehicle industry will set you up to provide quality guidance and support to the technical team.
Essential criteria include:
- Qualified Motor Mechanic/Technician
- Previous experience performing road tests and quality control functions
- High level of mechanical aptitude and a keen idea for details
- Drivers licence (essential)
