Our fast-growing, manufacturing and Distribution business is seeking a Machine Operator with warehousing and machine tools knowledge. This position will provide the successful candidate with the chance to apply their knowledge, learn new skills and work as a team within a clean and safe environment. The ideal candidate for this role has 5+ years’ experience in the distribution / manufacturing sector, pays strong attention to detail and is committed to workplace safety.
Responsibilities:
- Carry out production, inspection, packaging and machine operation duties.
- Set up machinery and ensure all materials are readily available.
- Maintain work orders and inventory documents.
- Identifies need for and performs machine maintenance.
- Maintain a safe and clean workplace.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
Skill required:
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy and safety.
- Solid communication skills.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks.
- Experience working with machine tools, not mandatory.
- Forklift license.
Willingness to learn machine operations is the key to be successful in this role. Necessary internal training will be provided by the employer.
