About the Role
We are currently seeking an experienced Machine Operator with a strong focus on safety and quality to join our team based in Hope Valley. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will operate our CNC profiling equipment autonomously working either day or afternoon shift.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Process materials in line with required process controls
- Maintain the company ERP software, updating job status, stock locations and following the production schedule
- Participate in stocktakes as required
- Perform daily pre-start checks and scheduled maintenance plans
- Attend and actively engage in meetings pertaining to toolbox discussions, production, job planning, and safety, providing input as relevant and necessary
- Operation of hand tools and material handling
- Overhead crane operation including mechanical and magnetic aids, loading/unloading beds
- Completion of QA paperwork and checks
- Maintain a clean and tidy work area
About You
To be successful in this role you will have the following skills and capabilities:
Essential
- Relevant trade or other work experience
- Good organisational skills, problem-solving ability and capable of prioritising workload
- Flexible and cooperative team attitude
- Ability to read and interpret Engineering drawings, safety procedures, operating and maintenance instructions, and technical manuals
- Demonstrated understanding of plasma/oxy cutting processes
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Responsible and reliable with a good level of fitness
Desirable
- Forklift licence
- Overhead crane experience
Candidates must have Australian work rights and will be asked to undergo a pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol testing.
