The Role
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Machine Operator / Engineer to join our team. You will be responsible for running the machines and ensuring that we produce high-quality products for the medical device and cosmetic industries.

Core Job Duties
Machine Operation: Operate production machinery and equipment. Start up, run, and shut down machinery, ensuring it operates within the specified parameters.
Production Monitoring: Monitor the production process and carry out basic testing and quality checks. Identify and troubleshoot issues in the production line to minimise downtime.
Quality Control: Inspect products for quality and compliance with specifications. Recognise and report any deviations or defects in products or processes
Maintenance and Cleaning: Perform regular maintenance, cleaning, and basic repairs on machinery. Report any need for major repairs or upgrades to the maintenance team or supervisor. Maintain a clean and safe working area.
Assembly and Packaging: Assemble, pack, and label individual components and finished products. Ensure products meet quality standards and are prepared correctly for shipping or further processing.
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of production quantities, processing times, and any incidents or deviations from the norm. Document machine operations and efficiency.
Teamwork and Communication: Work cooperatively with team members to meet production goals. Communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues to ensure smooth operations.
Continuous Improvement: Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, providing feedback and suggestions to enhance production efficiency, quality, and safety
Safety: uphold a safe and productive working environment for all team members.
Skills, Experience and Qualifications
- Ideally, a degree, associate degree or trade skill in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, industrial engineering, manufacturing engineering, or a related field
- At least three years of experience in machine operating/engineering, preferably in an assembly machine environment
- Excellent attitude, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills
- A proactive and creative approach to improving assembly machine reliability and performance
- Proven experience improving machine availability and performance
- Commitment to safety and quality.
