About the role

We have an opportunity for a Machine Operations/Trade Assistant. This is a casual position with the potential for full time for the right candidate.

Enjoy working in a clean workshop with the latest equipment and our friendly team. You will be working individually as well as in a team whilst maintaining the workshop flow of manufacturing.

Amongst general manufacturing tasks and maintenance, you will have the opportunity to exhibit your talents and put your mark on one of Australia's most recognised exhaust and accessory products.

Skills/Experience/Qualifications

• Certificate III Engineering/Fabrication is preferred
• CNC Machine experience preferred
• Proficiency with stationary and CNC workshop tools – Mandrel Benders, Auto Saw, press machines, linishers, etc.
• Demonstrate an understanding of safe workplace practices and time management skills
• Ability to interpret CAD drawings preferred though not vital
• Forklift license advantageous
• Demostrated ability to work independently and unsupervised
• Proficiency in safe operation of power tools
• Proactive approach to all tasks and responsibilites
• Possess a reliable, can-do attitude
• Current Australian licence and reliable transport

Tasks & responsibilities

• Cutting, cleaning and preparation of tube
• Machine operations
• Plans machining by studying works orders and customer orders
• Verifies settings by measuring positions, first-run part, and sample work pieces; adhering to standards
• Preventative maintenance of equipment to manufacturer’s specifications
• Troubleshooting malfunctions
• Adhere to strict time frames
• Be a self-starter
• Possess the ability to work in a team environment and approach any challenges with a positive, can-do attitude
