We currently have opportunities for experienced Machine Operators to join our team to work morning or afternoon shifts (8 hour shifts) commencing at either 5:00am or 6:00am or 1:00pm or 2:00pm Monday through Friday each week.
About the Role:
We are seeking dedicated and skilled Machine Operators to join our Food Manufacturing facility in Jandakot. As an important member of our Production team our Machine Operators are responsible for operating and maintaining various types of machinery used in the food Production process. Your primary objective will be to ensure the efficient and safe operation of equipment whilst maintaining high quality standards.
Your duties include:-
- Operate and monitor a variety of machinery involved in the food production process, including but not limited to thermo-formers, Toyo machines, forming lines, mixers, mincers, tray sealers, ovens and packaging machines.
- Set up machinery according to production requirements, ensuring proper settings for each product batch.
- Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards, making adjustments as necessary to maintain product specifications.
- Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) principles to ensure food safety and quality.
- Conduct regular inspections and maintenance on machinery to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and perform minor repairs as needed, escalating issues to maintenance team members as required.
- Maintain accurate production records including batch numbers, production quantities and equipment maintenance logs.
To be considered for this role you must possess the following skills/experience
- Previous experience as a Machine Operator in a Food Manufacturing environment with knowledge of operating thermo-formers Toyo machines, forming lines, mixers, mincers, tray sealers and other related equipment.
- Familiarity with food processing equipment and production processes.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and operating instructions for machinery.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and perform minor repairs on machinery.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to maintain high quality standards under pressure.
- Basic computer skills for data entry and equipment monitoring purposes.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift/move heavy objects as required.
