Machine Operators - Port Melbourne - 8Hr Or 12Hr Rotating Rosters

TriCab is a growing company, with a manufacturing facility and HO in Port Melbourne, and Sales / Distribution offices across all Australian capitals, North and South Islands of New Zealand, into Asia, and the US. 

This is a full-time position, based on-site at our Head Office & Manufacturing / Warehouse facility in Port Melbourne, located centrally to Melbourne just moments from the Monash Freeway.

About the roles 

Due to growth, we have a number (3) of machine operator vacancies at our Port Melbourne cable manufacturing plant. These are permanentpositions which runs on two different rosters shared below:

• 2 x 8 hour rotating shifts (6am-2pm/2pm-10pm/10pm-6am)
  5 days per week (Mon to Friday) 
• 1 x 12 hour x 4 days rotating shifts (6am to 6pm and 6pm to 6am), 
  across 4 days per week (Mon to Thursday).

All roles involve computer operated heavy machinery and full training will be provided.

Duties include but are not limited to –

• Operating machines safely and with high quality standards 
• Setting up, loading and unloading machines
• Monitoring computer operated machines
• Counter balance forklift duties
• Troubleshooting on production machinery
• Manual handling, including lifting of cable and materials as required

To be successful in this role, you will have –

• Experienced machine operator is preferred - but we also welcome non-experienced candidates to apply with engineering & mechanical aptitude
• The ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Should be mechanically minded with sound computer skills
• Ability to work on 8 hour OR 12 hour rotating shifts
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Ability to do manual lifting and be physically fit
