The role includes consultation and co-operation with our General Manager, maintenance people as well as with machine operators.)

Experience or interest and aptitude in setting up and doing changeovers on Tube and bottle filling lines, Cartoners, Cello wrapper and other packaging machinery is recommended. We operate quality equipment that is mostly Italian, German or Australian made.
- Experience
At least two years experience in Pharmaceutical, Cosmetic, Food, Beverage, Packaging or other FMCG industry is desirable . - A keen sense of problem solving is really key to setting a number of differing machines in a fast paced environment.
- Calm personality is a definite advantage.
- Experience with setting up medium speed tube and bottle filling lines (and adjusting for changeovers) and cleaning of machinery on a production line .
- Day to Day responsibilities:
- Ensure that the line runs efficiently and productively; coordinate tasks so that the line runs as continuously as possible
- Complete changeover of production equipment such as Filling, Capping & Labelling with accuracy and in a reasonable time period
- Troubleshoot and adjust equipment during operation to achieve optimum output and minimal downtime minimise wastage
- Set up filling and packing equipment and help strip down, wash and reassemble filling equipment to produce a quality product as efficiently as possible
- Monitor the quality of product throughout the filling run and make appropriate adjustments to maintain quality and compliance
- Be able to operate and maintain equipment safely and change parts in a clean and orderly manner
- Ensure that all work is done according to the highest standards of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP)
- Participate in required training, including SOPs, GMP, OH&S
- Written and oral communication skills
- Be able to communicate and work with Production management and General Manager
- High mechanical aptitude
- Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills and a great level of commonsense.
- Proactive, self-motivated and able to work unsupervised and not be shy to ask questions.
- Ability to generate consistent results.
Must have own a car with licence. Public transport is limited.
Licence to operate a forklift desirable but not mandatory.
