About the Role:
Bio Gro is looking for a Machinery Operator to join our team for an afternoon shift position at our Victorian Organics Recovery & Manufacturing Facility in Ordish Rd, Dandenong South.
The successful applicant is responsible for maximising the production output of all equipment whilst operating in a safe manner in accordance with licensing requirements.
Responsibilities including but not limited to:
- Load trucks as required.
- Operate Shredder as required to breakdown feedstock
- Turn windrows and provide samples to Quality team as required.
- Report any safety or maintenance issues directly to the Site Coordinator.
- Daily maintenance check forms to be filled out and presented to the administration team for recording on a daily basis, ensuring that oil & water especially, are checked prior to operating a machine that has a cold engine.
- Support the Maintenance team in changing screen speeds, meshes etc as required.
About You:
- LL Loader License required.
- Excavator & Forklift licenses preferred.
- Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control and other techniques for maximising effective manufacture is an advantage but not essential.
- Ability to follow process and protocols on Safety standards, essential
- Experience in a similar role desirable but not essential
- Good communication skills
- Strong time management skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work unsupervised or in a team environment
