About the Role:
As Machines Project Engineer, you will review offers from Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and complete technical evaluation of machines package offers against the package including specifications, scope of work and the other package requirements.
Reporting to the Project Engineering Manager, you will be interfacing with engineering discipline experts and providing support to the other on and offboard engineering disciplines, Procurement and the Construction team, and external customers.
You will be responsible for:
- Reviewing vendor technical documentation submissions for compliance.
- Planning, developing, coordinating and reviewing work within the project.
- Supervising day-to-day the technical work of the engineers and designers within the team.
- Expediting the supply of deliverables from an OEM and the review and return of those deliverables.
- Providing expert advice and guidance to the offboard engineering team with respect to bulk materials handling machine requirements and interfacing. Other tasks as designated.
- Other responsibilities as designated.
- Degree qualification in an Engineering discipline, preferably Mechanical.
- Demonstrated experience in delivery of bulk materials reclaimers / balanced machines packages in a brownfields environment, either as part of the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) or EPCM / EPC organization.
- Previous experience on EPCM projects within mining and metals is preferred.
- Industry experience and with bulk materials handling experience essential, including experience with mechanical discipline aspects of rail-mounted stockyard machines preferred.
- Front end engineering and planning experience preferred.
- Language skills in Mandarin written/verbal/technical would be beneficial but not essential.
