Assignment Description
The Minor Capital Project Field Engineer is a key member of the Sustaining Capital Projects delivery team. This role presents a unique opportunity to participate in the execution of a portfolio of Minor Capital Projects at Albemarle’s Kemerton Plant . The Minor Capital Project Field Engineer will work in an open and inclusive environment closely with colleagues in manufacturing, process technology (PT), HSE, , and other functional groups to deliver safe, quick and cost-effective scopes.
Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for safe, quick and cost effective minor project scope work pack delivery

The ability to work fast paced, to get quick resolutions in the field

Strong technical and problem-solving skills for process operations and design, equipment application and performance characteristics, and human factors.

Demonstrate the ability to analyse complex systems, draw significant conclusions based on fundamental principles.
•
Develop quick process model / sketches as required to quickly explain the issue / troubleshoot.
•
Conduct all activities in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with Albemarle policies and procedures. Always, ensuring the welfare of personnel and the protection of assets and the environment.

Site walk arounds to quickly establish the required scope and implementation required
•
Creation of work scope packs to be delivered with each scope to the Minor Capital Execution Supervisors, in a quick and effective manner Communicate effectively with the Minor Capital Project Lead and the Minor Capital Project Coordinator to ensure that scopes are ready for execution and delivered on time

Assist Minor Capital Project Supervisorssite efforts to ensure proper monitoring, control, and reporting of all contractor activities. Take necessary corrective actions to ensure the safe delivery of projects.

Lead a positive HSE culture and liaise with on-site execution teams to drive company expectations. Participate in investigations and development of corrective strategies and actions.

When necessary, assists in the coordination of assigned internal and external (e.g., EPC Contractors) resources supporting project development and delivery.
•
Ensure that risks associated with the project scope are identified and appropriate mitigation measures are established, working collaboratively with all internal and external key stakeholders.
•
Ensure all contractor reporting and the creation of the final MDR or equivalent is completed efficiently and to a high standard, and loaded into Albemarle’s document management system
Qualifications Required
5 or more years of experience in project scope delivery, in a petrochemical plant or similar industrial environment
•
Experience within multi-discipline engineering environments
•
Experience of brownfield execution, working as a Project Engineer or construction representative in a petrochemical or industrial manufacturing environment with a progressive demonstration of experience on capital projects in all stages/phases. It is preferred that the experience is a mix of time in the office as well as time in a plant or manufacturing environment.
•
Demonstrated ability to liaise effectively with the relevant stakeholders, exhibiting patience, flexibility, and adapting to changing circumstances with grace and elegance.
•
Exposure working in the owner’s team and/or large EPC organizations is highly regarded.
•
Exposure of working previously on the Kemerton Lithium plant is desirable
•
Demonstrated ability to work fast paced, in a reciprocal environment
