Mainframe System Automation Engineer
 
Green Light Worldwide are seeking a talented and experienced Mainframe System Automation Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in System Automation and optimisation, with expertise in installing, customising, and maintaining Solve:Operations, IBM Z System Automation, and IBM Z NetView.
 
Responsibilities
 
- Install, customise, and maintain SOLVE:Operations, IBM Z System Automation, and IBM Z NetView solutions to optimise system performance and efficiency.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their requirements and provide tailored solutions.
- Conduct system assessments and recommend enhancements to improve performance and efficiency.
- Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for SOLVE:Operations, IBM Z System Automation, and IBM Z NetView implementations.
- Stay updated on the latest developments in Solve technology and related systems, recommending upgrades or enhancements as needed.
- Utilise NCL and Rexx languages for design, coding, and testing to streamline processes such as system monitoring, event management, job scheduling, workload automation, and performance analysis.
 
Requirements
 
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience in installing, customizing, and maintaining SOLVE:Operations, IBM Z System Automation, and IBM Z NetView solutions.
- Strong understanding of system architecture and infrastructure.
- Experience in design, coding, and testing with Solve:Operations NCL and Rexx languages.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
