Maintenanace Fitter

About The Role:

Our client currently has a full-time vacancy for a Maintenance Fitter to join our team based in Cheltenham. Reporting to the Operations Manager, the key responsibilities for this role will be to work on product change-overs, preventative maintenance schedules, actioning breakdowns, minimising downtime and providing technical support when necessary. Your commitment, dedication and experience in a lean manufacturing environment will ensure you become an integral part of a small and diverse team.

What's on Offer:

• Casual roles = $50 to $55 per hour
• Permanent full-time salary 100K + Super (negotiable based on experience)
• Working Monday to Thursday 7am start finish 3.30pm
• Fridays start time 7.00am finish 12.00pm
• On site parking
• Training provided

The core responsibilities of this role will include, but are not limited to:

• Maintaining CNC machines (Chirons/Tornos & Nakamuras)
• Repair and fault finding on pneumatics and hydraulics machines (fluid power)
• Welding (MIG/TIG/Arc & Oxy)
• Maintenance requirements of equipment and tooling
• Maintaining CNC machines (Biesse)
• Maintaining Brake Press (Machtech, Yawei), Laser Cutter, Turret Punch
• Repair and fault finding on pneumatics and hydraulics machines (fluid power)
• Welding (MIG/TIG/Arc & Oxy)
• Maintenance requirements of equipment and tooling

About You

The successful applicant, will demonstrate a strong balance of the following key skills and attributes:

• Over 5 years proven experience (post trade)
• Strong initiative and problem-solving skills
• Excellent team player who can work autonomously
• Up-to-date relevant permits
• Forklift Licence - preferrable but not essential
• Machining skills
• Completion of JSEA (Job Safety & Environmental Analysis)
• Exposure and experience with drills, fixtures and jobbing shop
