Your Opportunity
As the Maintenance Co-ordinator you will:
- Lead a skilled core workforce working with a spirit of congeniality and teamwork.
- Ensure maintenance support is provided to users within TAFE Queensland Gold Coast within agreed timelines and to an acceptable standard.
This position reports to the Site Services Operational Lead.
This is a Temporary Full Time opportunity, to 01 November 2025 unless otherwise determined.
The position will be based primarily at Ashmore however you may be required to perform work at other TAFE Queensland campuses.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and monitor through Archibus, Business and Asset Services (BAS) jobs for contractors and the internal maintenance team, including supervision of contractors while on site. Administer contractor access and records including contractor sign in.
- Implement and coordinate the TAFE Queensland Gold Coast preventative maintenance program for Ashmore Campus including annual works as required.
- Provide quality advice, identify maintenance issues and assist with the formulation of maintenance plans for TQGC Ashmore Campus.
- Manage bookings and action maintenance of TQGC Fleet for Ashmore campus.
- Supervise grounds maintenance and cleaning teams, including work priorities and equipment maintenance.
- Undertake stores duties including: obtaining quotes; raising orders for parts and consumables; receiving stock; delivering goods to end users; manage inventory of stock; issuing stock as per requisitions; maintaining the stores area in a safe and clean and secure condition.
- Undertake clerical duties for the stores function, by following up backorders, managing couriers (inbound and outbound), processing accounts/invoices for payment, complete purchase orders in accordance with procurement policy and all clerical functions as required.
- Supervise and direct logistical functions on and off campus for TQGC events.
- Model and actively promote an ethical and safe work environment that supports a culture of zero harm and best practice regarding health, safety, wellness and sustainability.
How you will be assessed
The ideal applicant will be someone who has the following key capabilities:
- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills as demonstrated by effectiveness in supervising work groups in achieving goals and in contributing to the development of a service culture.
- Demonstrated knowledge of workplace health and safety issues and the ability to successfully manage safety in the workplace.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively coordinate maintenance projects within desired timeframes in a large and complex organisation.
- Ability to carry out or organise general maintenance and repairs to a wide range of equipment.
- Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to customer service.
