About the Role
We are currently seeking a QLD certified Electrician and general Maintenance person to join the Maintenance team on a Permanent Full Time basis. This role will be based at our Workshop in Airlie Beach working Monday to Friday.
Reporting to the Maintenance Engineer, this role assists in the maintenance team in conducting general repairs and maintenance across our facilities at Loop Road, Port of Airlie Terminal and associated assets as required.
About You
Key responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Test and tag of all onboard and shore-based facilities electrical equipment. Annual RCD and continuity checks. Insulation Resistance “Megger” Testing.
- Be proactive, construct work lists and then ensure the works are completed.
- Accurately maintain logs and work orders through to job completion and sign off.
- Adherence with SOPS, Marine Memos, operational procedures and WHS requirements
- Follow the scheduled maintenance program for all electrical, safety equipment on a regular basis on the vessels, tenders, pontoon, etc.
- Interactive use of HELM (Asset Management System) and assist in upkeep of maintenance electrical and shore requests.
Requirements
- QLD Electrical License with proven experience in a commercial/industrial/marine environment
- Handyman/maintenance experience.
- HLTAID 011 Provide First Aid & Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
- 5 plus years of electrical system knowledge as well as installations, focusing on marine.
- Additional trade experience/ qualification a plus
