The role
As an experienced Maintenance Electrician/Service Technician and reporting to the Operations Manager, you will become an essential part of the team responsible for the complete preventative and breakdown maintenance of electrical and mechanical systems on specialised CNC machinery.
Responsibilities
- Day to day coverage of production line equipment: respond to alarms, breakdowns, and Production requests.
- Diagnoses equipment failures and finds the root cause
- Responsible for preventative maintenance, troubleshooting/repair of assigned equipment
- Use your knowledge to improve PM documents and schedules.
- Perform major equipment repairs and rebuilds.
- Resolve maintenance issues, improve equipment reliability, review procedures, and minimize equipment downtime.
- Monitor spares inventory.
- Follow Maintenance Safety protocols.
- Sound knowledge of Industrial/Mechanical/Electrical Technology with an A grade electrical license being preferred.
- PLC experience, Siemens a plus
- Fanuc robot experience a plus
- Areas of specialization may include one or more of the following: electrical/electronics, mechanical, or automation/PLC/robotics
- Ability to manage workload while contributing to a positive, team oriented workplace
- Troubleshooting automation, and electro-mechanical systems.
- Knowledge of workplace software (MS Word, Excel etc.)
- Able to read and interpret mechanical drawings and hydraulic, electrical schematics.
