Two opportunities currently exist for a Maintenance Electrician based at our Tullamarine site on a full-time permanent basis. One role is required on Dayshift and the other is on Nightshift. Note that the Nightshift role attracts a 30% loading rate.
The Maintenance Electrician is responsible for the efficient and effective maintenance and repair of all plant and machinery and assisting with scheduled preventative maintenance according to Australian Standards and legislative regulations.
Key accountabilities include:
- Ensure that all equipment and machinery are maintained in a safe working condition and are accurately set, ready for use in production, in accordance with Australian Standards.
- Work with CMMS systems as required.
- Provide and maintain records of time and materials utilised, prepare materials lists, complete, and return inspection check sheets, comply with maintenance and service schedules and report schedule deficiencies.
- Adhere to safety, quality and food safety policies and procedures.
- Monitoring relevant stock levels of parts held in the maintenance store.
- Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures.
- Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus and components using test equipment to locate the root cause and correct the problem.
- Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on all plant and equipment.
The successful applicant will possess:
- An A-grade Electrical licence.
- At least five years of maintenance trade experience.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment.
- PLC knowledge for basic fault finding.
- Must be able to work from heights, in confined spaces and in hot/cold environments.
- Strong customer service ethic and safety focus.
- Solid written and verbal communication skills.
