The Role
We are seeking an experienced A Grade Industrial Maintenance Electrician to join the team to deliver exceptional industrial machine and motor control maintenance to one of our valued Poultry Processing clients located in Thomastown, VIC
This is a permanent positionis for Night Shift: 9pm - 5am Sunday to Thursday
Bring your Meat Processing Plant experience, along with a working knowledge of PLC's (Allen Bradley Logix 5000 & Siemens TIA) and the ability to read and understand Electrical Drawings.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out break down repairs through fault find diagnostic methodologies including electrical repairs on meat processing machines machines.
- Conducting/carrying out preventative maintenance programs on all machinery/equipment.
- Participate in continuous improvement projects across the facility.
- Installation, assembly and modification of equipment.
- Ensure maintenance records are up to date.
- PLC, safety systems and instrumentation.
- Drive and deliver on improvements in machine efficiency, utilisation and safety.
- General maintenance to improve factory performance.
About You
The successful applicant will have the following to be considered for the role:
- 4+ years experience as A Grade electrician. (Desirable)
- 3+ years food manufacturing environment experience. (Desirable)
- Demonstrable diagnostic and fault finding skills.
- Variable speed drive experience.
- Proactive approach to OHS.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to build strong working relationships with colleagues and customers delivering exception client service.
- Bring an engaged, motivated and professional attitude.
- Thrive in autonomous environment.
- Ability to thrive under pressure with excellent time management ability.
