About the role
The purpose of the position is to complete all required MHF compliance maintenance activities on time and to achieve targeted plant uptime by providing effective maintenance support in both preventative maintenance and complex troubleshooting support. This covers all areas of mechanical maintenance activities including breakdown, preventative, planned and unscheduled work. The role requires very strong continual improvement focus to ensure breakdowns are reduced or eliminated over time. Achieving this requires developing and maintaining detailed knowledge of the production process and plant equipment.
Other responsibilities will include:
- Display strong personal ownership for safety including adherence to the BOC Safety Culture requirements and observe the BOC / Linde Life Saving Rules at all times
- Comply with all safety procedures and standards. Participate in safety improvement initiatives. Participate in the development of JSA’s / SWP’s for maintenance tasks
- Perform mechanical maintenance activities including preventive maintenance and breakdown maintenance
- Providing troubleshooting support to diagnose and resolve plant breakdown issues
- Develop and maintain detailed knowledge of the production process and plant equipment to ensure breakdowns are reduced or eliminated over time
- Work with BOC’s CMMS (SAP) for maintenance scheduling, execution and record keeping including booking hours worked against WOs
- Ensure spare parts used are booked out
To be successful you will have
- Strong safety focus including high degree of familiarity with a permit to work system
- Fitter trade qualification with experience in an industrial manufacturing environment
- Experience working on a major hazard facility is highly advantageous
- A strong work ethic and ability to work unsupervised
