As a Maintenance Fitter, you will be responsible for a variety of maintenance tasks including breakdown repairs, planned and preventative maintenance, installations, and general maintenance duties as required.As a Maintenance Fitter you will:
- Perform mechanical maintenance across manufacturing lines and on-site utilities.
- Provide mechanical support to production teams, ensuring efficient fault-finding and repair of breakdowns.
- Contribute to the overall success of the Maintenance Team through attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and a proactive 'can do' attitude.
- Ability to work in a high-risk food manufacturing environment with precision and attention to detail.
- Trades qualification as a fitter, with a restricted electrical ticket (disconnect and reconnect) advantageous.
- Minimum 5 year's experience as a Maintenance Fitter in a high-speed packaging environment, preferably in food production/packaging or FMCG.
- Welding and lathe experience highly desirable.
- Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding skills, with a background in factory/production maintenance.
- Flexibility to work within tight time schedules and varying workload demands.
- Understanding of budgets and compliance requirements within a food processing plant, including GMPs and maintenance housekeeping.
